On September 29, 2023, Pope Francis appointed Rev. Raimo Goyarrola Belda bishop of Helsinki, the diocese where up till then he had been vicar general.
On November 25, 2023, the rector of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rev. Luis Felipe Navarro Marfá, was appointed a member of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life.
