Opening of the Diocesan Process of Bishop Adolfo Rodríguez Vidal at the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints

The Dicastery for the Causes of Saints in Rome has opened the records of the diocesan process in the beatification cause of Bishop Adolfo Rodríguez Vidal (1920-2003), a priest of Opus Dei and bishop of the diocese of Santa María de Los Ángeles between 1988 and 1994. The event took place in the context of a training course for future postulators and was attended by the postulator of the cause of Bishop Rodríguez Vidal, Fr. Santiago Callejo.

In Chile, where Fr. Adolfo lived since 1950, when he arrived from Spain to begin the apostolic work of Opus Dei in that country, the news was welcomed and disseminated by the office of communication of the Episcopal Conference “with deep joy in the Lord,” the statement published on the official website says.
