Isidoro Zorzano Remembered in Málaga

On the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of the death of Isidoro Zorzano, a public event was held on April 16 in Malaga, the city where he spent most of his professional life. About seven hundred people took part. It was held at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in this Andalusian city.

The event, called “A Day with Isidoro,” had as main speakers the writer Enrique Muñiz, author of a recent book about Zorzano, and the postulator of the cause for his beatification, Fr. José Carlos Martín de la Hoz.

One of those attending the event testified to the admiration with which his grandfather, who worked under Isidoro, spoke about his concern and kindness for each of his workers. The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, spoke about his parents’ friendship with Zorzano and mentioned that one of his brothers was baptized with the name of Isidoro in his memory.

During the day, participants were also able to visit, in the Palacio de Congresos, an exhibition on Isidoro Zorzano’s life and his relationship with the capital of the Costa del Sol.
