Eucharistic Procession in Amsterdam
On June 11, Feast of Corpus Christi, the traditional Eucharistic procession from the Church of Our Lady (Onze Lieve Vrouwekerk), entrusted to priests of the Prelature of Opus Dei, passed through the streets of Amsterdam and along its canals. Both Catholic and Orthodox believers took part in it. The people walking through the center of Amsterdam on this sunny Sunday morning who encountered this manifestation of Catholic piety reacted with signs of respect, and often devotion.
