Activities of the Center for Josemaría Escrivá Studies (CEJE)

The Center for Josemaría Escrivá Studies (CEJE), a section of the St. Josemaría Escrivá Historical Institute at the University of Navarra, has created a monthly bulletin intended to help make known the studies carried out by the Historical Institute and to inform about publications and events related to the history of Opus Dei. The first issue was published in April 2023.

In June, the CEJE organized a workshop on the history of Opus Dei and took part in the 6th conference of the European Academy of Religion, held at the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). The workshop on the history of Opus Dei was held in Pamplona on the 9th, with thirteen academics from various universities taking part. At the conference of the European Academy of Religion, held from the 19th to the 23rd of June, four CEJE historians (Ana Escauriaza, Inmaculada Alva, Beatriz Comella and Mercedes Montero) presented several papers as part of the panel entitled “Women in Opus Dei: Catholic Context, Gender Discourse and Achievements.”
