Virtual Meeting with Faithful of the Prelature of Venezuela (December 11, 2020)

Hundreds of people from Venezuela took part in a virtual get-together with Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz on Saturday, December 11. Given the difficulty of traveling to that country, the Prelate wanted to express his closeness to all the faithful of Opus Dei who are living there amidst great difficulties.

The get-together was followed from numerous living rooms, not only in Venezuela but also in other countries where Venezuelans reside. Also taking part were people from the Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago, territories that are part of the same region.

The Prelate listened to the stories of many families. He had the opportunity to speak about preparing for Christmas and the deep reasons for our joy, which rises above all circumstances.

The get-together lasted an hour. At the end, Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz imparted his blessing and thanked everyone for the opportunity to be with them. “Thank you for inviting me to your homes. I have felt very much at home,” he said.
