From the Auxiliary Vicar
Publication of Transformer le monde de l’interieur
In this brief work [Mariano Fazio, Transformer le monde de l’interieur, Paris, Boleine, 2020, 1st edition, 104 pp.], the author reflects on how Christians can transform the world to make it more in conformity with the “dreams” of God. He finds his guidelines in the Second Vatican Council’s documents Lumen Gentium and Gaudium et Spes. He also reminds us of an essential condition for doing so: to truly love the world in which we live. The author highlights three pressing problems of our time: individualism, hedonism and relativism. And he points out the dispositions that Christians need in order to build up a society in accord with God’s plan: an authentic spiritual life, a solid doctrinal formation that enlightens their actions, unity of life, prestige in social life and a lifestyle based on the Gospels.
