Diocesan Investigation of the Servant of God Arturo Álvarez Obtains Legal Validity from the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints
The main diocesan process on Arturo Álvarez Ramírez took place in Guadalajara (Mexico) between 2021 and 2023. When the records were delivered to Rome, the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints decided that an additional process needed to be carried out to illustrate more fully the reputation for holiness of the servant of God. Once this was completed, in June 2025 the Dicastery proceeded to open the records of this process.
Now, with a decree dated October 8, the Dicastery has granted legal validity to the diocesan investigation. With this decree, the cause enters its Roman phase.
