On September 26, 2024, the Pope elevated the apostolic administration of Estonia to the rank of a diocese, with the name of Tallinn, and appointed Rev. Philippe Jean-Charles Jourdan, hitherto apostolic administrator of Estonia, as bishop of Tallinn.
