On February 12, about six hundred people took part in the third session of Conversations with…, a conference for journalists organized by the School of Communications at the University of Navarra. Held in the auditorium of the Rafael del Pino Foundation in Spain’s capital, it gave the journalists an opportunity to reflect on their mission in society. Among those taking part was the former Executive Editor of The New York Times, Jill Abramson.

The dean of the University of Navarra’s School of Communications, Monica Herrero, told those present that “St. Josemaría, the founder of our university and the one who gave impetus to the Institute of Journalism at the University of Navarra, which at the time was the only university department of journalism in Spain, had a deep awareness of the importance of both freedom and a solid formation for journalists at a university level.”
