Milan (June 29, 2024)

On Friday afternoon, June 28, the Prelate of Opus Dei arrived in Milan. The following day, the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, he celebrated Holy Mass in the morning at the Regional Commission of Opus Dei in Italy, and a little later he went to the Milan site of the FAES schools. There he had a lively get-together with the families, directors, teachers and service personnel of this Italian network of schools, which this year celebrated its fiftieth anniversary.

The get-together lasted a little less than an hour. The Prelate, in dialogue with those who successively took the floor, spoke about faith, the value of little things, the central role of parents in the efforts of the school, serving others, achieving true happiness, the painful trials that every person experiences at some point, etc.

At the end, Monsignor Fernando Ocáriz gave his blessing to those present. Shortly afterwards, he left Milan for Spain, where he was to spend a few days.
