A Relic of St. Josemaría in Messina

In the parish of Santa Caterina Valverde, in Messina, Sicily, a relic of St. Josemaría, donated by the Prelate of Opus Dei at the request of the parish priest, can be venerated since May 21. It was placed there during a Mass celebrated by the Vicar of the Prelature in Sicily, Pablo Pérez Rubio. The Eucharistic celebration was preceded by a round table discussion in which a married couple from Palermo, Carlo and Maria Sorci, and a lawyer and university professor from Messina, Gianni Toscano, spoke to the parish community about the apostolic work in Sicily inspired by the message of Opus Dei.
