The canonization of Josemaría Escrivá was accompanied by an outpouring of joy; it was an unrepeatable moment shared by many people and at the same time intimately savored by each one. But above all, Saint Josemaria’s canonization was a solemn act of praise for the Blessed Trinity and a gift for the entire Church. Therefore any description of the days of the canonization can only reflect in a very limited way its meaning for individuals as well as for the Church as a whole. Nevertheless, a day by day review of its principal events gives us an opportunity to raise our hearts in thanksgiving to God.
